Autumn Floral Arranging at Blue Bee Cider
Autumn is the best season for flowers, apple cider and enjoying cooler weather here in Virginia. Grab your friends and join us for a wonderful evening at Blue Bee Cider- full of flowers and craft cider.
In this hands on workshop, we will draw our inspiration from the autumn hues of the changing leaves and examine how important color theory is in the art of floral design. Color is the best part of flowers and nature has given us quite a palette to be inspired by. Fall tones can be so bold and vibrant but at the same time subdued and moody- it is so fun to play with all of the naturally occurring palettes . When designing with flowers, like all other forms of art, it is very important to understand the way our eye perceives color and the theory behind it. Color theory is understanding how different hues, shades & tones work together and play off of one another in an arrangement.
Our skilled designers will teach you the basics of floral care, design techniques and how to utilize the fundamentals of color theory in your composition. With our guided instruction- each attendee will then create their own colorful, autumnal toned floral arrangement to take home! Perfect timing for all of the upcoming holidays and celebrations! You will leave with a thoughtful creation and the knowledge to do your own floral designing at home.
No experience or prior knowledge necessary. All materials and instruction will be provided. Feel free to bring your own floral shears if you have them- if not we have plenty. All ages welcome.
***You must register in advance to attend, space is limited. Workshop fees are non-refundable.***
